Excessive use of <br /> <br /> paracetamol can cause toxic metabolites to accumulate and cause kidney or liver damage. <br /> <br /> This research uses a carbon paste electrode modified by molecularly imprinted poly <br /> <br /> (glutamic acid) for the determination of paracetamol by voltammetry by filter paper <br /> <br /> method. In the manufacture of MIP modified carbon paste electrodes <br /> <br /> electropolymerization was carried out in a solution containing paracetamol, glutamic acid <br /> <br /> and HClO4 0.1 using cyclic voltammetry techniques at a potential range of -0.8 - 2.0 V. <br /> <br /> Measurement of paracetamol by voltammetry by filter paper method use three working <br /> <br /> electrodes namely, CPE, CPE-NIP and CPE-MIP. Repeated measurement results and linearity <br /> <br /> tests show that the suitable electrodes for filter paper methods are CPE. The calibration <br /> <br /> curve provides a linear area in the range 0.1-1 mM with a detection limit of 0.314 mM. The <br /> <br /> three working electrodes have been used to determine the paracetamol content contained <br /> <br /> in commercial drug samples. The working electrode that provides the best percent recovery <br /> <br /> is CPE. text
