| Summary: | Population growth is followed by the increasing requirement on land to accomodate all population activities, which one of them is requirement on land for settlement.The usefulness of Geographic Information System in determining potential area for the development of settlement represent efficient and effective method, because GIS have an ability in analysis related to spatial aspect, specially entangling land physical aspect and social economic aspect of the society. Social economics aspect analyzed by using accessibility index method, which considering fascination of each region in the form of distance between region, availability of employment, health and education facilities. While for the land physical aspect analyzed using land suitability analysis.The result from data processing obtained regions which have priority for the development of settlement area, according to land suitability analysis and each region's fascination. <br />
