Summary:The Department of Transportation of Kota Cimahi has a major issue with regards to employee performance. The department has not been able to project an adequate public service so that two out of four missions have not been able to perform optimally. Accordingly, it is able to identify regarding some possible causes that become the root cause regarding the employee performance issue. After doing a preliminary interview with some employee representatives in the department, the root cause of this problem is employee job satisfaction. According to Schermerhorn, Hunt & Osborn (2005), employee performance can be indicated with the decision to perform by involving satisfaction towards their jobs. It means that job satisfaction can represent its possible cause regarding employee performance that attaches to the issue of public service in the Department of Transportation of Kota Cimahi. In the hope of solving the issue, psychological capital is applicated as a tool to enhance the level of job satisfaction. This study involved 71 employees as sample and applied three methods through SPSS which are descriptive analysis, simple linear regression analysis, and multiple linear regression analysis. The result of this study shows through the descriptive analysis that the profile of psychological capital is in the level of good. Whereas, the profile of job satisfaction is in the level of fair satisfied. Simple linear regression analysis shows that there is a significant influence between psychological capital and job satisfaction. Multiple regression analysis shows that there is a significant influence between hope, resiliency, optimism, except selfefficacy. Taking into consideration the result, managing supervisory becomes the solution for this issue. PCI (Psychological Capital Intervention) aims to the upper level of the department such as the heads of field and the heads of section so they can manage its psychological capital employees through supervisory. Besides, some policies renewal are undertaken as further recommendation.
