Summary: | Increasing energy needs amid limited sources of energy, especially to create a
comfortable environment in the building to be reasons for energy saving
measures. Building as a large environmental burden became one of the sectors
that have potential to reduce energy consumption. Energy saving measures
through the most efficient retrofit strategy on building starts of the building
envelope. Through DSF as avoid heating technology thus creates a comfortable
thermal environment that can reduce the energy consumption of buildings.
This study tries to prove that the angle on the configuration of the DSF have
effectiveness in reducing indoor air temperatures and reduce operational energy
use of the building by using digital simulation with OpenStudio. The results
showed the DSF is able to lower the OTTV value of 21.53W/m2 or 29% from the
previous value, lower the air temperature in the building until 3.43°C and reduce
11.6% - 57% of building operational energy consumption. DSF as a retrofit
buildings will provide benefits for the long term. With the result that DSF in office
buildings or other high rise buildings can be a solution of the current energy
crisis through energy saving measures. |
