The value of air humidity is controlled using hot water in the indoor AC production which the discharge is regulated through a large valve cover on the hot water pipe. Then, the air temperature value is controlled by setting the humidity setpoint change in the permissible range, which is between 55% and 60%. The large setting of hot water valve cover is done using the PID equation whose parameters need to be known and adjusted for changes in the thermal characteristics of the system. This study aims to determine the effect of environment temperature and humidity on the system response and optimum PID parameters for the system and find out the optimum time interval to gradually change the humidity setpoint in the temperature control process so that it stays within the ideal range of 18oC to 21oC. The tuning process was carried out using the Ziegler-Nichols II method. System response was analyzed based on setpoint changes from 57% to 60% and vice versa every 1.5 hours with arrangements of 140, 160, 180, and 200 for 24 hours respectively. The time interval for changing the setpoint applied to the system was 6 and 9 minutes. The results showed that proportional control can work quite well in humidity control using Kp in the range 150 to 200. The system response and Kp value are not significantly affected by temperature and humidity of the production room, roof, and outside so that the determination of Kp value is only based on internal system variables. Then, temperature control can work well using a setpoint change interval of 6 minutes. text
