Summary: | The construction project is an activities that is always bound by the constraints of time and financial resources. But nearly 80% in the execution of construction projects has been delayed. This delay would be detrimental to the project owner and the contractor. Delay analysis is performed to determine the effects and causes of delays. Delay analysis results can be used as a reference in making decisions for the project owner regarding the claim and additional execution time.
This thesis explores the application of As-Built But-For Schedule Analysis method to analyze delays in construction projects. This method describes the process and results of the analysis in the form of a bar chart is a simple, easy to read, and understand. The purpose of this thesis is to determine the functions, strengths, and weaknesses in the application of As-Built But-For Schedule Analysis method.
Basically the method of As-Built But-For Schedule Analysis uses the data plan and construction schedule, combined with the data of delay resulting bar chart that shows the activities that has been delayed, the impact of the delay, and the classification of the causes delay.
Results of the application of As-Built But-For Schedule Analysis method shows that this method is quite well used in analyzing the delays that occur on construction projects because it has a variety of functions, the excess, the analysis shows that a transparent process and provide analytical results are easy to understand. But the weakness of this method is the application of data requires a complete construction documentation. |
