Description
Summary:Insulation is a material that has an important role in electrical equipment to protect the electrical equipment. The good or bad quality of insulation has an impact on the quality of electrical equipment. One of the important ways to monitor the quality of insulation is to detect Partial Discharge (PD) on the equipment. Partial Discharge can occur in solid, liquid and gas insulation materials. Partial Discharge is very necessary to determine the value of Partial Discharge or Partial Discharge characteristics in equipment isolation and to know the condition of the electrical equipment. In general, these problems occur in electrical equipment that has long been used. 80% damage to electrical equipment is caused by problems with the isolation of high voltage equipment. This problem can disrupt the reliability of the equipment or the electrical system itself. So the electrical system requires monitoring to maintain the quality of the insulation. In this research, Partial Discharge measurements use electrical methods and non-electric methods. This electric method uses an HFCT sensor and an RC Detector sensor. Non-Electric Method Using a Loop Antenna sensor. Partial Discharge measurements are also carried out in two types of insulation, namely gas insulation (air) and liquid (oil) insulation.
