Summary: | In this period, Indonesian Government bring a quietly wide opportunity for survey and mapping consultant, based on the Indonesia infrastructure development plan from 2015 to 2019 especially roads and irrigation. Surveying is the initial work in any infrastructure project, wherever it irrigation nor roads project. Surveying is often being underestimated, not only from project owner and contractor, but also from the surveyor themselves. The author examines: PT. Survey Archipelago Indonesia, as a company which engaged in survey and mapping service. From this study, the company expected they can develop a project with comprehensive plan, so that the optimum cost and scheduling can be generated.
Issues raised from PT. Survey Archipelago Indonesia’s experience on route survey project is the project run out of the time and cost estimated. In business issues exploration, these data will be analyzed using literature review of project management, from defining phase, planning, executing, until closing. These was done to find out why the route survey project run out of the time and estimate cost. Some tools that will be use in this research are: project scope checklist, project priority matrix, work and organization breakdown structure, project network, and then time-phased budget baseline.
As the end of this chapter researcher conclude that, company for technical task were well executed, but inconsistency still appear on real schedule and real expenditure, from project life cycle the source of problem are on defining and planning phase. In defining phase, the company should filtering propose project by price per-Km criteria and Km per-day criteria. After defining phase already passed, company can optimized their resources to obtain optimum schedule of completion and project cost. As the solution for this research a new implementation of operation model will be beneficial for PT. Survey Archipelago Indonesia. |
