Summary: | The development center of the capital city as a commercial area, accompanied by
the development of the areas of Bogor, Depok, Tangerang, and Bekasi as the
residence provides a huge influence to the urban transport system. One factor
contributing to the congestion in Jakarta is the high level of use of private
vehicles on the streets of the capital. One strategy to overcome this problem by
limiting vehicles coming into the city area. Since mid-2016, Transjakarta bus into
the city of South Tangerang as a public transport feeder. BSD Transjakarta bus
passenger growth did not show a significant increase every year. The emergence
of Transjakarta bus BSD is not accompanied with supporting facilities such as
terminals are equipped with parking, so that bus usage rate is still small.
Therefore, improving the quality of Transjakarta bus service needs to be
supported by the development BSD Park and Ride.
This study aims to identify the factors that influence the use of Park and Ride as a
supporter of mass public transport (bus Transjakarta BSD). Stages of this
research consists of three stages: identifying the characteristics of parking
available near the terminal Transjakarta BSD, identifying the social and
economic characteristics users Transjakarta BSD that use the parking Giant
Hypermarket BSD, identifying the characteristics of users' journey Transjakarta
BSD that use the parking Giant Hypermarket BSD, and identify the factors that
influence the use of Park and Ride as a supporter of mass public transport (bus
Transjakarta BSD) using logistic regression analysis.
Based on the analysis, the factors that have a significant influence on the use of
Park and Ride as a supporter of mass public transport (bus Transjakarta BSD) of
them from the parking characteristics consist of parking time factor (0.007),
parking fees (0,029)ease of obtaining parking (0.029),and the convenience of
parking (0,015); of social and economic characteristics consist of a factor type of
jobs (0,026) and earnings (0,020); as well as the characteristics of the trip
consisted of a factortrip purpose (0.031) andcost of dismissal stop to the
destination (0.039), Of these factors, factors cost of dismissal stop to destination
have influence most to use Park and Ride as a supporter of mass public transport
(bus Transjakarta BSD). |
