Micro, small, and medium business scale (UMKM) is an economic activity which takes more than 95% of Indonesian economic structure. It became popular as a solution to reduce poverty, especially in rural areas. But today, the poverty level in rural (13.1%) is still higher compared to the city (6.89%). It proves, even though it is superior in terms of quantity, UMKM have not giving a maximum result yet (assets and turnover). It's also difficult to enlarge the business scale, proven by the large number of micro businesses (up to 99.9% of all). The need for micro businesses development is indispensable. Business incubator is a strategy that is worth considering to help develop UMKM, because (1) it provide a series of continuous programs; (2) it provide business facilities and infrastructure; (3) management and technology support; (4) funding, etc. so it demands commitment from its members (tenant). This research was focusing on rural community as the facility user. Characteristics, behaviors, and daily habits are important points that will be responded by design. One of the most inhibiting traits they have are easily suspicious and hard to deal with changes. So, this facility carries the concept of familiarity.. In this case, gardening is the most familiar activity and main income of Rancabali's community. The design results are expected to contribute for UMKM improvement, particularly in Rancabali area.
