Summary: | Riau is the largest contributor to crude palm oil exports in Indonesia. Riau is still experiencing a crisis in electricity that is characterized by rotating power outages in the middle of the community. The electricity crisis is important to be anticipated by making a new breakthrough to find alternative electrical energy sources in the form of new and renewable energy based on palm oil mill effluent. The utilization of palm oil liquid waste into electricity is a form of waste to energy optimization which is one of the steps in Indonesia's contribution in reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
The electrical system of PasirPengaraian is one of Riau's isolated systems. In 2020 the system will be supplied from the interconnection of the 150 kV Riau’s system. Because it will ignore the power existing, it is planned to build two Biogas Power Plants (PLTBg). Generator capacity is still a proposal, so an analysis of optimization of generating capacity is needed so that the best results for the system are obtained. The optimization is based on technical criteria such as power flow analysis, validation of short circuit ratio, and transient stability analysis. |
