To overcome this challenge, it is important to have a reliability tracking material, so with this material tracking process, it can be used to help solve this problem, and provide information to contractor in planning and improvement productivity. The tracking material process contains important activities, starting from Engineering, Procurement, Expediting, Traffic and Warehouse. Problems faced by PT. Wijaya Karya (Persero) Tbk (Or commonly known as PT. WIKA), the current tracking material process is still lacking in information, and the information it self still not accurate (not up to date). These problems are driven by several things, namely: the naming process on the item request form is not the same as the standard product manufacture name; tracking material system that is still manual and paper based. Above problem will trigger several problem in the project such as: a surplus of material at the end of the project because the data warehouse is inaccurate; delay construction due to lack of information, therefore, it is important to have a tracking material that is accurate in information and up to date, by doing this it can gives a solution to these issues. Research on the existing model, is carried out to produce alternative tracking material system. It can be concluded that currently it has been developed 3 (three) alternative models that evaluates the implementation aspects; coordination; outcome; logistics costs and impacts. The alternative business process chosen is alternative-1 as a suitable alternative to be applied at PT. WIKA and validation of the selected proposal model. The selected alternative business process is then used as a reference for the development and modeling of tracking material prototypes based on line (web). Based on the operation trial results, the selected alternative business process have been reducing time for material tracking process as a performance output compare with existing. Detail time reducing each process is engineering 15,7%; client approcal 43,3%; procurement 69,1%; expediting 54,2%; traffic 85,1% and warehousing 33,3% The weakness of this study is that it has not considered client behavior integrated in the material tracking system and there is no bar-code feature (bar-code scanner system) in the tracking material system. Weaknesses in this study can be developed in future studies so that the tracking material system is more powerful. text |
