Description
Summary:Population growth is a sure thing in the times. With this increasing population, the community's needs for the amount of electricity used will definitely increase. The increasing electricity needs must be directly proportional to the energy sources in the world. For this reason, renewable energy power plants must be developed that have unlimited energy sources. In addition, electricity is a right for all humans but there are still many areas, especially disadvantaged, frontier and outermost areas (3T) that do not yet have electricity facilities. One of them is Papua province because it only has 72.04% electrification ratio, where Indonesia has reached electrification of 95.35%. Therefore, the author has the desire to help the development of research on the 3T area about designing off-grid power plants in the area. In this study a research area was taken in Pirien Village, Asmat Regency. Where is Kab. Asmat is a district that has not so high electrification. In accordance with government regulations regarding 3T areas, the profile profile of Pirien village is divided into two types, namely communal burden of 20 kWh and administrative burden of 11 kWh. This study uses the HOMER Pro application to compare each generator resource that is possible to be built in the area based on economic and technical aspects. Because this plant is an off-grid generator, it will be deceived by all the most suitable renewable energy sources in the area and the types of plants to be analyzed in this study are pure PV, pure wind and pure generators. Therefore, the Renewable Fraction (RF) value is one of the values that is a parameter in determining the type of generator to be built in addition to the Levelized Cost of Energy (LCOE) value.
