As a result, many of the ethnic homes are located on the banks of the Musi River, especially in Seberang Ulu. The provincial government of South Sumatra sees the potential of tourism in these houses so that it developed into a tourist village. The tourist village in question are Kampung Kapitan and Kampung Cina, which is connected directly by the corridor on the banks of the Musi River, and Kampung Arab Al-Munawar which was inaugurated in late 2016. This final project document is a study that can support the development of tourist village based on visitor perception. The purpose of this document is to provide the development strategy of the three tourism villages as heritage tourism on the banks of the Musi River in an integrated manner because of its location which is close together. Each tourist village has unique and different attractions but there is no development direction to make the tourist villages as a heritage area although on the banks of the Musi River Seberang Ulu there are many traditional and historic buildings. In addition, the condition of deserted tourist villages and the limited age group of visitors reflects the lack of interest of local and overseas tourists to visit the tourist attraction on the banks of this Musi River. Therefore, this document seeks to make the perception of visitors as one of the foundations in the development strategy which is also equipped with field observations and interviews with related parties. This final project uses a mix method approach where quantitative approaches are used to analyze perceptions through frequency statistical analysis, analyzing development strategies through crosstab statistical analysis and qualitative approaches to analyze elements of tourism. Perception analysis was done by distributing questionnaires to 104 visitors by providing questions related to tourism village, heritage tourism¸and riverfront. The analysis of elements includes the elements of the tourist village, heritage tourism elements¸ and riverfront elements, conducted with field observations, interviews, fore, and see related articles. Furthermore, an analysis was conducted to formulate the strategy of tourism destination development and supporting strategy by using crosstabulation between the results of the visitor questionnaire obtained. iv The results of this document in the form of destination development strategy include the development of tourist attraction, tourism accessibility, tourism facilities, community empowerment through tourism, and tourism promotion. Development of tourist attractions include conservation heritage buildings, tourist attractions are presented, as well as the types - the type of learning is varied. Development of tourism accessibility includes land routes, and waterways, as well as the development of routes, the addition of public transport shuttles and pier improvements. Furthermore, tourism development strategy is formulated based on crosstab analysis which generate points of tourism support facilities in each kampung wisata. The empowerment of local people through pariwsata is done by improving the quality of human resources as well as providing counseling-related tourguide, homestay development, and handicraft souvenir production. Finally, tourism promotion strategy is formulated based on respondent's preference on their choice to promote heritage tourism village as a candidate of World Heritage Site, which social media is chosen as one of the means to get started. text |
