Summary: | The blooming of the construction sector in Indonesia has become a target for many construction
companies both local-based and foreign-based to expand their market and increasing revenue.
PT. XAY, one of small-medium business construction company in Indonesia, a recent financial
report is good in term of revenue but bad in term of profit. The slow growth can make the
company cannot expand to a bigger level and the project cannot grow bigger to enhance the
company’s reputation and financial position.
Root cause analysis was conducted to find the root problem from the issue, which turned out
to be no performance management system applied. Integrated Performance Management
System (Wibisono, 2012) used as the Performance Management System framework in
designing the performance management in this research. Five stages of Integrated Performance
Management System conducted in the company.
Indicators designed from review in literature and interview with the director of the company.
Importance of the indicator is measured using Analytical Hierarchy Process also as linkage
analysis. The result for the key variable in PT XAY from business result perspective is
profitability, cash flow performance and customer satisfaction. From internal process
perspective is new project, marketing effectiveness, process efficiency and capacity
availability. From resource capability is employment and organization management. With the
application of the performance management system, the company should have indicators to
measure the progress of the company’s growth and help the company to achieve its vision. |
