In the development of the industry at this time there was intense competition between industries of the same kind of industries or even different kind of industries. Especially in the development of current steel industry in Indonesia where supply conditions did not meet existing demand so that the domestic market is partly supported by steel imports. PT XYZ is integrated steel mill companies in Indonesia that needs to increase its competitiveness by adding production capacity of 3 million tons steel capacity. In this study, explain the steel market conditions both global and domestic. By using internal analysis and external analysis to be able to understand the current state of steel business and company conditions. After knowing the condition of steel business in this research, explain the investment analysis of additional capacity of 3 million tons of steel. Taking into account the conditions of integrated steel mill technology. In addition, from the financial side, some investment characteristics as a consideration for decision making include the value of the Net Present Value, Pay Back Period and Internal Rate of Return. By analyzing the investment of additional capacity of 3 million tons steel, it is expected to increase the competitiveness of PT XYZ.
