Electronic money offers many benefits, but its implementation is still low. Cash payments for retail transactions still cover around 99.4%, or those paid in non-cash are only account for 0.6%. One indication of the cause is the low level of public awareness, so the level of adoption of e-money technology is still relatively low. The city of Bandung, as one of the largest cities in Indonesia, has a low awareness level of around 20%. Jakarta as the nation's capital is still a magnet for the spread of e-money. 91.6% of total e-money is concentrated in Jakarta. Surabaya was followed as the second city to absorb e-money distribution, with a percentage of only 3.1%. Next respectively Bandung (2.2%), Semarang (2.8%) and Medan lowest (0.3%). Acceptance and behavior theories are used to analyze the phenomenon. This study aims to develop a technology acceptance model of e-money, which is the development of technolgy acceptance model (TAM), the theory of planned behavior (TPB), and the unified theory of acceptance and use of technology (UTAUT). The results obtained from 300 respondents of e-money users in Bandung using structured equation model (SEM) analysis showed that there was a significant relationship between perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, perceived control behavior, and attitude towards the intention to use and actual use of e- money. The results of this study are expected to be an evaluation and improvement material for banks that issue e-money to the public. text |
