Summary: | IP (Intellectual Property) or intellectual property is a great potential for the creative economy. One of Indonesia's local wisdoms, traditional weapons are a form of cultural product that has the potential to develop as an IP. According from the results of data from Bekraf (2019) and the Office of Tourism and Culture of West Java Province (2018) show that the development of traditional weapons IP is still quite difficult due to the lack of young generation's interest in traditional weapons with a specific group of high school students by cause of limited media. This design aims to design IP and its introductery media for high school students. Design Thinking is used as a methodology in designing and taking descriptive qualitative steps such as literature studies, interviews and observations of traditional weapons, the target audience and their introductory media and referral projects at the data collection stage. It can be concluded from the results of the design that an appropriate medium for the target audience is digital games with the RPG genre. Indonesian traditional weapons are transformed as characters in the game by personification process derived from selected Indonesian traditional weapons. So, the high school students who plays can get to know the personification of characters from Indonesian traditional weapons in the game further by looking at references to original artifacts in the museum where the traditional weapons originated. |
