IMPLEMENTATION OF PROBLEM LIKE PISA MODEL UNCERTAINTY AND DATA CONTENT IN SCHOOL CURRICULUM TO MEASURE THE CAPACITY OF MATHEMATICAL LITERACY

Mathematical literacy is defined as the ability of a person to formulate, apply and interpret mathematics in various contexts, including the ability to do mathematical reasoning and use concepts, procedures, and facts to describe, explain or predict phenomena / events. One of the efforts to impro...

One of the efforts to improve mathematical literacy skills is that students must be accustomed and trained to work on problems that can measure their mathematical literacy abilities, such as PISA questions. PISA, which was initiated by the OECD, has the role of evaluating the education system of 72 countries around the world who are members of the OECD. PISA is different from other tests because it does not link the approach directly with the school curriculum. Application of the problem like PISA model in the school curriculum is done by integrating and linking PISA problem to the material in schools. This can be an alternative and benefit for students because they can learn at the same time, learning material in accordance with the curriculum and learning to solve PISA problem. This research aims to (1) provide PISA problem about uncertainty content and data in the school curriculum according to valid, practical and effective criteria (2) analyze PISA problem uncertainty and data content and student answers. The PISA model is said to be valid in terms of content, context and language based on expert test assessments, practically based on the results of a questionnaire from a small group trial of 6 students in Cibadak 1 High School and is effective based on student cognitive learning outcomes. The results obtained 10 mathematical problems with PISA model uncertainty content and data themed flashdisk capacity, activity of using Instagram, weight, temperature, sales of sports shoes, age of soccer players, weather forecast, mayor support survey, canteen and furniture defects that were declared valid by the test expert, very practical with the percentage of student questionnaire results 83.33% and effective with the percentage of learning outcomes 78.6% of students reach the KKM. text
