Summary: | HOTS (Higher Order Thinking Skills) is a measurement instrument used to measure
higher-order thinking skills, namely the ability to think that is not just a recall,
restate, or refer without doing processing (recite). This study aims to determine the
description of the success of students in solving HOTS problem, determine the
effect of student learning styles on the effectiveness of HOTS problem and
determine the characteristics of good HOTS problem preparation that can cover all
types of learning styles. In this case students are grouped based on similar learning
styles, then given a test in the form of HOTS problem and given a questionnaire,
then the test results are analyzed using qualitative methods with descriptive research
designs. The results of this study indicate that there is a relationship between student
learning styles and HOTS problem solving, which depends on the stimulus used in
the HOTS problem. Overall HOTS problems given to students have varying
characteristics, so that it can be seen which problems can be solved well by all types
of student learning styles and by each student's learning style. |
