PT Berkah Multi Cargo works in the logistics sector where the current business area is in Surabaya, Semarang, Banjarmasin, and Lembar. In Surabaya PT Berkah Multi Cargo has operated 3 Depots of Container Consolidation and Distribution and 1 Depot PLP. In the Semarang area, PT Berkah Multi Cargo leases land to PT Sekai. In the Lembar in collaboration with PT Pelabuhan Indonesia III to support activities in Lembar Harbor, the activities of PT Berkah Multi Cargo on the Lembar are haulage activities in the Lembar Harbor area. Whereas in Banjarmasin PT Berkah Multi Cargo cooperates with PT Pelabuhan Indonesia III Regional Kalimantan to operate 6 (six) container depot and haulage container areas.
Among the 6 container depots, 2 will be taken, namely Logistics Center 1 and Logistics Center 3. Where the 2 container depots can be applied to 4 other depots. Logistics Center 2 and Logistics Center 4 have a depot character with Logistics Center 1 and Logistics Center 3. While Logistics Center 5 and Logistics Center 6 are empty container depots. In this case, raise the issue of PT Berkah Multi Cargo which is in the Banjarmasin CDC-CCC depo. The need for a lot of improvements in the Banjarmasin depot both in terms of the layout of the container depot. By improving container arrangement that will stack in the container depot will maximize depo capacity. This paper aims to improve the layout of the Banjarmasin container depot so that the capacity becomes efficient and the waiting time becomes faster than before.
This paper aims to evaluate design layout depot container to improve the performance of existing capacity to be more efficient. The design of the layout depot container can now be said to have not followed a good design so that it needs to change the container depot design as a whole so that the existing capacity in each depot can be maximized.
From several factors that influence why the depot capacity is ineffective and the service time is not optimal is the Layout Factor, Process Facto, and People Factor. From these three factors, it needs improvement from the Layout Factor first so that container arrangement becomes effective and service time becomes better. Improvement of Layout is needed so that the container that will be stacked in the container depot has no difficulty in service both Receiving Delivery and Stripping / Stuffing services. Renewing Layouts can reduce service time so that it is faster and capacity in the depot becomes effective. After the Layout Depot Container is repaired, updating the Standard Operation and Procedure needs to be done and socialized so that the Tally can know and carry out their work in accordance with the Standard Operation and Procedure that has been made.
