Description
Summary:increasing number of patients encourage the company to improve the quality of their service. One of them is to reduce the waiting time while preparing Consumable Part (BHP). Based on direct observation, the existing waiting time was obtained for three minutes which was considered quite long. Long duration of waiting time is caused by mislocated BHP by dental assistants. To solve this problem, researcher propose four solutions, i.e. a proposed Standard Operational Procedure (SOP), placement of BHPs based on frequency of use using ABC Analysis, placement of BHPs using the Poka Yoke Method, and the assignment of dental assistant pickets. ABC analysis is one method that is appropriate for grouping huge size of product. The grouping is done by counting the percentage of the value of use and total type of BHP. From the calculation results, there are three groups of BHP, in which Group A is the group with the high frequency of using material, group B with the medium frequency of using material, and group C the low frequency of using material. BHP placement solution with Poka Yoke Methoud is only directed to one type of material, namely the k-file needble. The proposed solution is an indicator label that shows the size and color of each needle so that the dental assistant can place it back more easily. The two solutions that previously described are technical. To succeed the two solution, researcher propose standard operational procedure (SOP) and the assignment of dental assistants’ picket. It’s expected can solve the problem and reduce patients’ waiting time while preparing Consumable Part (BHP)
