Description
Summary:In order to minimize loading-hauling costs and maximize production, an effective and efficient mining process is needed. At PT. XYZ Quarry Z, the mining process is still not effective and efficient, especially the loading and hauling of limestone from the front to the crusher. Therefore, in this research optimization will be carried out so that the mining process becomes more effective and efficient. Optimization is the process of making something output more effective and efficient. If optimization is a process, the results of optimization are mining processes that have become more effective and efficient by minimizing costs and maximizing production output. The method used in the optimization of this study is the Linear Program. In this study, field data was taken in the form of the cycle time of the Komatsu HD 465-7. In addition, there are secondary data in the form of crusher capacity data, cycle time of the Komatsu HD 465-7, daily production targets of front 375-2, front 375-3, front 405-2 and P9 and P12 crusher capacities. In this study two calculation scenarios are used with different combination of dump trucks and wheel loaders so as to produce the cheapest loading and hauling costs with better ideal match factor value. In scenario 1, the combination of dump truck and wheel loader is Komatsu HD 465-7 and Komatsu WA 700-3. In scenario 2, the type of dump trucks and wheel loaders are replaced. The dump truck uses Komatsu HD 785-7, while the wheel loader uses Komatsu WA 900-3. The analysis shows, scenario 2 has the cheapest loading and hauling cost and better match factor value, with the transportation cost is Rp 5.875,00 and the match factor value from front 375-2 to P9 is 0.69, from front 375-2 to P12 is 0.79, from front 375-3 towards P12 is 1.3 and from front 405-2 towards P12 is 1.39.
