students have moderate knowledge level on general questions (55.01%), transmission (64.78%), and
prevention (58.06%) regarding HIV/AIDS. Accounting for socio-demographics, higher age group, male
post graduate students from engineering faculty associated with higher HIV/AIDS knowledge score.
Total result shows there is significant difference of knowledge between gender (P=0.000) and age
group (P=0.0045), and no significant difference between different level of education and faculties;
among genders, there is significant difference in general knowledge (P=0.000), transmission (P=0.004)
and prevention (P=0.000). HIV/AIDS knowledge among age group shows significant difference on
transmission (P=0.024) part and no difference in general knowledge and prevention part. Knowledge
about HIV/AIDS among different level of education shows significant difference in prevention
(P=0.006) part and no difference in general knowledge and transmission part; there is significant
different in general knowledge (P=0.045) and prevention (P=0.038) part of HIV/AIDS among different
