Construction industry is one of the industry that constantly evolving in line with the progress of time. However, the increase in the number of contractors has not been followed by an increase in performance and qualification of contractors. This is unfortunate given the development of the construction industry which has a high demand. To answer the challenges that exist in the construction industry, the construction stakeholders need to work together to create a synergistic performance between each other. With so many parties involved, it is not easy to complete a project. Each element in the project need to work together in order to produce maximum results. In the construction process, selecting the right contractor in accordance with the type of project will facilitate the project. Differences criteria desired by the owner will lead to competitiveness among contractors in getting a project. To achieve a competitive procurement process, the contractor needs to provide the best profile in order to provide added value to the project owner. The added value can increase the chance of contracting to win the desired project. Taking into account the strengths and weaknesses of both internal and other participants who will participate in the competition will determine the success in winning a project. To be a winner in a tender process, the contractor needs to provide the best deals for the project. Contractors with the best profile is a contractor who is able to provide the best deals. Best deals include not only the criteria of low price and good technical specifications. Best deals can also be assessed on other criteria such as availability of the supply chain, health and safety, and others. The existence of criteria that can give added value to the highly profitable contractors in the bidding process. Healthy competition among actors of construction will generate perpetrators quality construction and can provide maximum results in the process of project implementation Given the healthy competition, each contractor will be working hard to improve productivity and efficiency. The existence of competition between the perpetrator of construction is expected to increase efforts konstruki actors in improving its competence so that project owners will get the best contractor providers in its field
