The use of antioxidants selected to react with free radicals, thus preventing damage to the collagen. Black rice known to have a high antioxidant content. The purpose of this study is to get a microemulsion preparation of black rice extract that stable and has anti-wrinkle effect. Research was started by characterization of black rice extract obtained. Identification test is also conducted by TLC, as well as antioxidant power test in vitro against DPPH. Then the optimization of the microemulsion preparation base, using two kinds of oil materials (rice oil and VCO), surfactant croduret, and various cosurfactant. Base formula then mixed with black rice extract. Then tested the chemical and physical stability test, also anti-wrinkle effect. Stability test includes freeze-thaw, centrifugation, viscosity, pH, and in vitro antioxidant power. Anti-wrinkle effect test conducted in vivo using a video dermatoscope. Results showed that extract in powder form and coloured purple, loss of drying of 2.6 %, water soluble extract of 62.5 %, ethanol soluble extract of 45.5 %, density extract 5 % w/v was 1.009 g/ml. IC50 extract for scavenging DPPH free radical was 41.5 ppm, IC50 ascorbic acid 9.3 ppm. Formula base was VCO 30%, water 10%, croduret 30%, and 30% glycerin. The microemulsion was viscous and coloured purple, globule size of 600 nm, stable during 6 cycles freeze-thaw, stable on centrifugation test, pH value was stable during storage period of 28 days at a temperature of 25 0 C and 40 0 C, viscosity value was increased during storage period of 28 days at a temperature of 25 0 C and stable during storage period of 28 days at a temperature of 40 0 C, scavening value against DPPH was stable during storage period of 28 days at a temperature of 25 0 C and 40 0 C.
