Summary:Business model is a very common phrase nowadays, especially for those who worked at strategic and engaged with building or managing companies. It describes how a company creates, deliver and capture value and consists of few key aspects. One of the aspects is revenue stream. Regardless how unique a company and how many investments invested on, it will only bring impact when the company can make use of its revenue stream and manage it well. Mecapan is a startup company, currently the #1 beauty service marketplace in Indonesia, providing platform for local beauty merchants to meet consumers digitally. With the rises of market opportunities, it will be a strategic move for the company to assess its current revenue model to figure underlying opportunities. By applying the right revenue model, this would help the company to generate sales and lead to business sustainability. For this research purposes, data was collected through qualitative method by in-depth interview with the company’s c-level. External and internal analysis are also conducted in order to know more of the company’s underlying potential and opportunities. Data analyzed would then be combined for research purposes in developing a new revenue model for Mecapan, by utilizing company’s previous value propositions. Revenue model was analyzed and proposed by using Customer Value Chain Analysis (CVCA), along with business model and revenue model theories that fit with Mecapan’s business, digital business. This research resulted in a new revenue model developed by using CVCA, while combining available theories regarding revenue models for startup company. Previous revenue model which applies traditional model was then proposed with the combination of few revenue models, that all in all would benefit Mecapan in generating sales and gain more profit.
