Mine is owned by this company. In operational activities at the Kintap Mine, the company is
required to distribute 50 mm coal from the mine to the barges according to the type agreed
before. In order to increase company productivity, the determination of tasks and
maintenance intervals on coal handling system from the mine to the barges is carried out
based on the reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) method. It is done to achieve
improvements on: cost efficiency and maintenance effectiveness, system availability and
reliability, safety and environmental factors, and a comprehensive maintenance database.
RCM is a method used to determine what must be done so that a physical asset can
continue doing what is desired by its users in accordance with the context and target of its
operations. The analysis on the RCM method consists of 7 questions that must be answered
for each asset reviewed. Resource persons from PT. Arutmin Indonesia was involved in the
analysis using the RCM method. All analysis results is recorded on the RCM decision
worksheet.
Maintenance tasks and intervals of 17 equipments which consists of 140 components
of coal handling system at PT. Arutmin Indonesia Kintap Mine has been determined and
recorded on the RCM decision worksheet. The total amount of maintenance tasks and
intervals is 365 which consists of: 307 on-condition task, 39 redesign, 18 no scheduled
maintenance, and 1 failure-finding task. |
