Description
Summary:Production scheduling for 1 step process has many references to schedule more effectively and efficiently such as EDD (Early Due Date), SPT (Shortest Processing Time), LPT (Longest Processing Time) and FCFS (First Come First Serve). The problem that often arise in the production process, one of them is on the weighing process of the raw material where the process is located in the Logistics Weighing area and required a long material weighing time and idle time so that the product becomes inefficient in the production process and result in cost of goods manufactured to be high. The purpose of this research is to find out the most effective and efficient method of weighing process scheduling between FCFS, SPT, LPT, EDD on completion time and idle time after weighing process before it use by production department. The research data used is weighing completion time and idle time of 12 products in PT Y Farma that is L, I, X, BV, BR, BS, BT, BP, M, A, BU, and H. Then the 12 products scheduled in parallel way at 4 stations in logistics weighing area with FCFS, SPT, LPT, EDD method. The results obtained that the EDD method is the best method in minimizing the completion time is 12.13 hours. As for the criteria of product idle time after weighing process obtained that LPT method is the best method in minimizing product idle time is 6.72 hours.
