THE ROLE OF ENTREPRENEURIAL LEADERSHIP ON SOCIAL ENTERPRISE SUSTAINABILITY (CASE STUDY: KIDZ ADVENTURA)

The presence of social entrepreneurship is now an alternative in resolving social problems that occur in society. Social entrepreneurship is someone who can apply entrepreneurial abilities to help the community in resolving social problems. Usually, social entrepreneurship is engaged in education, health, agriculture, animal husbandry, and the environment. In running social entrepreneurship, there is a role of someone who can help social entrepreneurship in achieving sustainability, which is the figure of entrepreneurial leadership. Entrepreneurial leadership is someone who has a vision and mission, brilliant ideas and innovations, can take risks and bear great responsibility, and a strong leadership spirit in running entrepreneurship. Kidz Adventura is social entrepreneurship engaged in the field of Education, where the Founder & CEO of Kidz Adventura is an entrepreneurial leadership figure. This research was conducted to find out the role of entrepreneurial leadership on the sustainability of social enterprises, where the role of the Founder & CEO as entrepreneurial leadership towards the sustainability of Kidz Adventura. This research uses a case study as a strategy in conducting research, where the case study in this research is Kidz Adventura as a social entrepreneur. This research was conducted using qualitative methods in collecting data. Data collection is done by conducting interviews with participants who are determined from his background as a leader, Founder & CEO, and people who know his role. Interviews were conducted in a semi-structured manner, where researchers had a list of interview questions. At each interview, the list of questions can be asked unstructured and can be added or not asked. The results obtained in this research are the role of the Founder & CEO following seven aspects of the characteristics of entrepreneurial leadership, namely risk-taking, proactive, visionary, innovation, experimentation, charisma, and creativity. The role of the Founder & CEO in achieving Kidz Adventura sustainability can be seen from the programs that are run, where the community development program to educate children who are threatened with dropping out of school and guide the parents of these children to do entrepreneurship, so that from the community development program already includes two triple-bottom-line aspects, social and economic. In terms of the environmental aspect, the Kemah Kidz Adventura program is a program that has an indirect impact on the environment, where Kidz Adventura guides children to preserve the environment with the concept of outdoor camping. In achieving sustainability, Kidz Adventura also sells products such as perfume and literacy game cards, and the Pesantren Kilat program to generate profits, where 25% of the profits are allocated to social activities. The role of entrepreneurial leadership can be influential in achieving social enterprise sustainability.
