Summary:The growth of robotic population is rapidly increasing nowadays. There are so many robots which have been developed in industry especially a 5-axis robot for optimizing time and achieving the process. For example, the 5-axis robot can be used as a CNC machine driver. One of those robots that can move in 5 axis is Platform Stewart Robot. Platform Stewart Robot can be used as the CNC machine driver. However, a CAM software generating toolpath and a Clfile (Neutral File) are really needed. Both outputs can not be perfomed by a CNC Machine, so that a Clfile to file NC (G-Code) translator is important. The author have done a research to make a post proccessor for Solidcam 2010 and 5-axis CNC Machine with Platform Stewart Robot. This machine has a head_head construction with an axis A-B combination. A notepad facility on Windows is used in building the post processor. The Post Processor is able to generate a G-code for a 5-axis machine. The G-code can simultaneously perform a 5-axis function in the 5-axis machine with Platform Stewart Robot. The test of post processor is by seeing the movement simulation of Platform Stewart Robot on the software.
