DEVELOPMENT OF A VIRTUAL TOOCHAIN FOR TOYOTA HYBRID SYSTEM POWERTRAIN NV ASSESSMENT

This thesis reviews hybrid vehicle architectures and noise and vibration problems of the Toyota Hybrid System powertrain. The objective is the development and validation of a computational model for the low speed booming noise prediction (noise in the area of low speed and high load of the intern...

The objective is the development and validation of a computational model for the low speed booming noise prediction (noise in the area of low speed and high load of the internal combustion engine). For this purpose, the conditions of driving tests were defined and tests were performed by a test vehicle. The same conditions were imposed to the computational model and the results from the simulation were compared to the measured data. For the model accuracy improvement, the root causes were identified and possible solutions were proposed. Some of them were implemented into the model. text
