Summary: | This study discusses the determination of measures that can be done to reduce the risk of tsunami disasters faced by the Pelabuhan Ratu steam power plant. This research was carried out by a literature study to ascertain the impact of tsunami and finding the existing tsunami risk reduction measures of the steam power plant through interview, to be analyzed for improvement. This research then collected as much measures as possible to be used to reduce the risk of tsunamis through a literature study, and then these measures were divided into two, namely structural and non-structural. From the literature study, there were seven structural and five non-structural measures, each of the measures is then discussed about the general picture and its application at the steam power plant with the use of gap analysis to see the possibility of implementation or quality improvement. From 7 structural measures, three are not owned, and the remaining four are owned, for the three measures that are not yet owned, it is recommended to be owned, and for four that are already owned, it is recommended to be improved for more impactful results. Of the five non-structural measures, all of them are recommended by the author to be owned by the steam power plant because these measures are easy to do and not too expensive but significantly affecting the tsunami risk reduction in the steam power plant. Improvements also proposed for evacuation plan consist of simplifying scenario, adding new shelter and evacuation route adjustment. The results of this study are expected to help steam power plant to realize that they are facing the risk of the tsunami disaster and can take action with risk reduction measures that have been collected and discussed one by one for the benefit of steam power plant.
