Summary:The increasing demand in the energy sector due to economic growth and the growing industry in Indonesia has led to increasingly fierce competition in several companies that intersect in the energy sector. PT Wijaya Karya is one of the construction companies in Indonesia that provides products and services in the energy sector. Through projects to be carried out in the energy sector, PT Wijaya Karya is participating in energy development in Indonesia and internationally. However, providing good quality products and a good corporate image is not enough to make PT Wijaya Karya the first choice in doing business in the energy sector. There are several aspects that will be assessed in cooperating with PT Wijaya Karya in the energy sector. Therefore, the aim of this thesis is to make a new business strategy analysis for PT Wijaya Karya to remain competitive in the energy sector. The analysis used in this thesis uses qualitative and quantitative methods. The qualitative method is used to obtain information by interviewing the company, while the quantitative method is done by analyzing the company's historical data and financial statements. The analytical tool used in this thesis is PESTEL and Porter Five Forces to understand external conditions. To understand internal conditions, an analytical tool in the form of VRIO is used. Furthermore, to create a new business strategy, the authors use a SWOT analysis that will be used to analyze deeper on the Generic Porter matrix. The author also uses Igor AnsoF Matrix and Diamond Strategy Model in the analysis of new business strategies. The new business strategy that will be recommended to PT Wijaya Karya focuses on investment in the electricity sector, optimization of Wind Power and Solar Power Plants, and expansion of projects in the private market.
