Description
Summary:Aruna Indonesia is a fish e-commerce startup that focuses on helping and developing the coastal economy by creating a fair and transparent fish trade through the use of innovative technology. In carrying out its business activities, Aruna uses two types of applications, the first is Aruna E-commerce intended for transactions by buyers, and Nelayan Aruna application for reporting fishing catches from fishermen. Aruna Indonesia is currently in the process of developing the Nelayan Aruna application. Aruna Indonesia wishes for Nelayan Aruna application evaluation used as consideration in designing the new Nelayan Aruna application. This study aimed to evaluate the usability of the Nelayan Aruna application. Evaluation is carried out by combining the usability inquiry method with usability testing method. Participants included in this study were all users of the Nelayan Aruna application who were local heroes and numbered 5 people. Usability inquiry is done first to find the problem areas in the Nelayan Aruna application which are shown in the form of usability percentage values for all aspects of the usability compilers. The results of the process are used to design a usability testing scenario which then yield 4 test scenario tasks. The results of usability testing in the Nelayan Aruna application show that only 2 tasks can be completed correctly by all participants. In addition, the think-aloud stage which was carried out after usability testing succeeded in finding 19 usability problems. After analyzing the source of the problem from the 19 problems, a repairment plan has been prepared for each problem.
