| Summary: | In the Cirebon District Regional Spatial Plan for 2011-202 there are additional electricity generator in Cirebon Regency. The government's commitment through the plan has been implemented at the end of 2018, namely the construction of the Phase II Cirebon Steam Power Plant (PLTU) capacity of 1X1000 Mw which is located in Kanci Village, Astanajapura District and Kandawaru Block, Waruduwur Village, Mundu District. This study aims to analyze the impact of the construction of the Cirebon Unit II PLTU on the socio-economic community of the Kanci Village and the Kandawaru Block Waruduwur Village which are the main locations of the Cirebon Unit II PLTU. This research will use the primary data collection method and the main method is quantitative with several units of analysis using statistical descriptive analysis, Wilcoxon Sign Rank Test analysis and qualitative analysis of the results of interviews as support.
This study will dig deeper into the characteristics of the Kanci Village and the Kandawaru Block, identify participation, perspectives, aspirations, expectations of the people of the Kanci Village and the Kandawaru Block, and analyze the impacts after the construction of the Cirebon Unit II PLTU. This study found a difference in the impact felt by the Kanci Village and the Kandawaru Block due to the influence of the location. Kanci Village has a large area with more diverse types of community work than the Kandawaru Block and the water quality of Kanci Village is worse than the Kandawaru Block. This explains that the location aspect influences the socioeconomic impact of the area affected by PLTU development. Although overall the construction of the power plant to the construction stage has quite a positive impact on the study area. |
