INSTITUT TEKNOLOGI BANDUNG https://digilib.itb.ac.id/gdl/view/49762 The concept of vertical agriculture is one of the alternatif solutions in facing the decreasing availability of agricultural land, especially in urban areas. Red lettuce is a commodity that has high economic value and contains various ingredients to fulfilling nutritional needs of community. The research which was conducted at screenhouses C1 and B2 and the Biomass Laboratory of ITB Jatinangor, combined the concept of vertical farming with red lettuce in a vertical hydroponic System Alt a combination of treatments in the form of vertical spacing at 15 cm, 25 cm, and 35 cm and volume of watering nutrients at 10,6 L/day, 31,8 L/day, and 53 L/day. Then determinis the best treatment based on the parameter of the last Conservation average number leaves, consumption wet weight, dry weight consumption, chlorophyll content and anthocyanin content. The result of the observations were then analyzed pusing ANOVA Two Way with Replication which bas followed by a further DMRT Test at the 5% level Ir Three bas a real effect. The result showed that the Best treament on the number of leaves was upper part of X3 (vertical spacing 35 cm; watering volume 53 L/day) with an average number of leaves from the last observation at 8,94. The best treatment on consumption wet weight was upper part of X1 (vertical spacing 15 cm; watering volume 53 L/day) at 8,94 grams. The best treatment for consumption dry weight was upper part of X2 (vertical spacing 15 cm;watering volume 31,8 L/day) at 0,88 grams. The best treatment for chlorophyll content was bottom part of X1 (vertical spacing 15 cm; watering volume 53 L/day) at 6,99 mg/L. And the best treatment of anthocyanin content was bottom part of X1 (vertical spacing 15 cm; watering volume 53 L/day) at 32,31 mg/100 grams of wet weight. text
