The use of instruments such as portable telescopes and DSLR cameras is one of them. The shooting procedure of the Moon crescent with a combination of these equipments is discussed in this work. The images are reviewed in the Red, Green, and Blue channels. The aperture photometry method was used to produce the brightness of the Moon and the brightness of the background sky. These two brightness values can be used to determine the contrast value. Contrast is related to the parameter of sky brightness, namely the elongation angle and the zenith distance of the Sun through a mathematical approximation which is written as ???? = ????
