Based on data released by KSEI (Kustodian Sentral Efek Indonesia), it shows that the growth of Single Investor Identification (SID) has continued to increase in the last 7 years. This was also driven by the growing growth of mutual funds in Indonesia. In July 2018, the number of mutual fund investors registered at KSEI increased by around 50.69% from the previous year. Bank bjb is one of the companies in the banking industry that sells mutual funds or known as APERD. Realization of the sale of bank bjb mutual funds declined sharply in 2018 which was the lowest realization since 2013. The decline also occurred in 2016. Competition in selling mutual funds with increasingly evolving technology made bank bjb must think of other strategies in order to remain competitive and take advantage of mutual fund investor growth opportunities. One thing that can be done by bank bjb is by applying the concept of asset allocation. The purpose of this study is to determine the optimal investment proportion based on the risk profile of a bank bjb mutual fund customer using the asset allocation method. The risk profile is a conservative, moderate and aggressive profile. In addition, the rebalancing scenario will also be carried out to provide investment strategy recommendations in portfolio management from bjb bank mutual fund customers. The rebalancing scenario conducted by the study is a scenario with periods of 3 months, 6 months, 1 year, and without rebalancing. From the results of the study it was found that the optimal portfolio proportion for the conservative risk profile was 90% allocated in money market mutual funds, 5% in mixed mutual funds, and the other 5% in stock mutual funds. For moderate risk profile, 5% is allocated in money market mutual funds, 60% in mixed mutual funds, and 35% in stock mutual funds. While for an aggressive risk profile, 35% is allocated in money market mutual funds, 5% in mixed mutual funds, and the remaining 60% in stock mutual funds. The results also show that the rebalancing scenario with a period of 1 year is the most favorable scenario. From this research also found that the development of assets from the results of asset allocation and rebalancing is able to outperform the market. That is, efforts to allocate assets and rebalancing can be a consideration for the bank bjb to solve the problems it faces. text |
