The type of accelerometer sensor used is the Micro Electrical Mechanical System (MEMS) accelerometer. This sensor is designed to achieve technical functions, particularly electromechanical functions. The MEMS accelerometer sensor and the conventional accelerometer sensor for measuring vibrations in the engine rotary are both sensors that produce acceleration values in measuring vibrations in the engine. There are advantages that the accelerometer MEMS sensor has, including a relatively cheap price, has 3 axis of vibration detection and can be applied to embedded systems. With this advantage, the accelerometer MEMS sensor can be used as an alternative sensor for measuring vibration. The accelerometer MEMS sensor to be used is the ADXL345 accelerometer. In addition, the advantages of the accelerometer ADXL345 sensor are that it already has an Analog to Digital Converter (ADC) and a digital filter, so that this sensor can perform faster computations in obtaining data in the form of digital data when compared to other MEMS sensors that do not have ADC. . The measurement results will be used as material for vibration analysis in the machine in the form of a frequency spectrum using the Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) method. In the testing of sensor parameters, the average value of accuracy is 99%, precision is 99% and error value is 0.4%. In the measurement of vibration testing was carried out with a frequency range of vibration measurements at 0Hz - 107 Hz in two different conditions. In the first condition, the characteristics of unbalance damage are obtained with the characteristics of the appearance of the frequency amplitude at 1x running speed in the frequency spectrum and the RMS velocity is obtained at 2.5884mm / s. In the second condition, the characteristics of bent shaft damage are obtained with the characteristics of the appearance of the frequency amplitude at 1x and 2x running speed in the frequency spectrum and the RMS velocity is obtained at 2.9674mm / s. text
