In the near of the Production Sharing Contract (PSC) expiration period & current relatively low oil price condition, the new well drilling campaign in Duren field have stopped since 2019, thus the existing wells performance become the backbone to the entire production of PT. CP-Oil as part of the commitment and contribution of oil production to Government of Indonesia. Having the advance underperforming wells review process is one of the major factors in order to be able to select and prioritizing the candidates accurately and faster, which it is the key to the successful proactive jobs to help maintaining overall Duren field performance. Align with the spirit of continuous improvement and process simplification, PT. CP-Oil management perceive it is the real opportunity for now to improve the underperforming wells review process in order to maintain the base oil production performance or even stronger. A dedicated project team was assigned to find the solution in limited time frame. In project development, the team assessed and involved the right people across organization, such advisors, Subject Matter Experts (SME), even close engagement to stakeholders, for framing the project, understand the problem root cause, identify the possible solution, and used KepnerTregoe methodology to evaluate and help the stakeholders to make decisions to select the best alternatives. Most of the process were done during a group discussion with the experts and or stakeholders. As the result of the great teamwork and strong collaboration among the project team members and the resources, the team introduced new workflow of underperforming well review process where successfully provides the advance screening and prioritization candidates become more precisely and accurately. The workflow is developed by utilizing business intelligent data analytic solution tool that providing friendly and rich visualization interface. The workflow is further complemented by integrated individual well detail information tool, called iWIS (Integrated Well Information System). Therefore, it will be much easier and faster to the end user in identifying the candidates and prioritizing their well review for doing more comprehensive and robust analysis to determine the better proactive jobs for the candidates to keep Duren field performs excellently. It successful improved the cycle-time required to review the underperforming well faster by 75% compare to the old practice. text |
