Summary:PDAM Tirtawening is the only one of the local company which have responsibility for serving drinking water in Bandung City. Otherwhise, in reality water serving in Bandung City haven’t meet with the goals to give the service for the whole city because of the limitation of product water that doesn’t still balance with water demand. East Bandung Region is one of the service area of PDAM Tirtawening that have the lowest service, especially in Gedebage Zone. In the others hand, based on Bandung City Urban Planning 2011-2031 that included in Local Regulation Number 18 of 2011, East Bandung Region is the part of area that should be have increased in water supply facilities. So, PDAM Tirtawening had a planning to develop the service area in East Bandung Region, which also need to provide raw water supply. So, PDAM Tirtawening planning to build main distribution network by utilizing the Cikalong Water Treratment Plan with a processing discharge of 750 liters/second. This capacity is intended for Gedebage area which consists of three main districts, there are Gedebage District, Buahbatu District and Rancasari District. The service target to be achieved is 90% of services in the 10-year planning period starting in 2021-2030. With this program plan, the existing transmission piping will be optimized which will change its function and be used for Gedebage services as well as piping that will continue to provide standard air for Badaksinga Water Treatment Plant. In designing the interchange and interconnection of the transmission pipe, there are 3 alternatives for selecting the interchange location which are simulated using EPANET 2.0 software. Then the location selection was carried out using the SAW method and the selected exchange locations were at points OVS-3L and OVS-3B. In addition, it will plan a main distribution network with 9 blocks of total service area owhich will be simulated with EPANET 2.0 software. It is estimated that the investment cost in this design is Rp. 48,417,000,000.00.
