| Summary: | </i><b>Abstract: <i></b><p align="justify"> Limau Oil Field is one of Pertamina's old oil Field situated at Prabumulih area, South Sumatra. This field was discovered in 1940's, it's fully developed and produced with primary method, peak production was reached on 1960's with 30,000 BOPD and then gradually decreased. Last production rate on 1989 less than 2,000 BOPD.<p align="justify"> Enhance Oil Recovery Contract between Pertamina and Contractor was signed on 1989 and Joint Operating Body (JOB) Pertamina Seaunion Energy Limau Ltd was formed.<p align="justify"> JOB implemented "secondary recovery technology" by water flood method , as a result Limau production rate improved to 7200 BOPD in 1999. But after that production rate tend to decrease and will continue decrease constantly with 25 % decline rate. With current technology the life time of this field only until 2006.<p align="justify"> With "tertiary recovery technology" implementation, 24.8 million barrel additional proven, reserve will be gain and this field can keep produce oil economically until 2014.</p> |
