Meanwhile for indoor farm it is usually done in building like green house or screen house where not all the weather is affect the plant inside the building. One of the most important things in water usage in farming sector, is to determine the total water that plant need in irrigation. To determine the total water that plant need we can use many different methode, one of them is by determine evapotranspiration reference, to determine this reference weather data and time data required. Where the intended weather data is air temperature, air humidity, wind speed, and solar irradiation. And where the intended time data is day of the year, and exact hour of the day where the weather data picked. Other than those 2 data, this methode require location data too, the geographic location and the elevation of the land. Location data is a static data, where it can only be change because the location of the instrument is moved, but the time and weather data is dynamic data where time data will change over time, and weather data will change because of local climate change every time. So for this methode weather station is required. This research will cover about development of measuring instrument for weather (temperature, humidity, wind speed, solar irradiation) called node sensor that will be placed in screen house. The discussion will talk one-by-one from the background of the research, literature study, design and implementation, and lastly about the test evaluation. At the end of research, the measuring instrument for air temperature, air humidity, wind speed, and solar intensity. The measuring instrument will have several properties that is: is wireless, uses communication that can connect to gateway that gateway has internet access, and self charging using solar panel so it can survive in remote location that has no power supply. text |
