<b></i>Abstract : </b><i><p align=\"justify\"> <br /> The maintenance of the power plan in PT PJB Unit Pembangkitan Gresik ( UP. Gresik) is the responsibility of PT PJB Unit Bisnis Pemeliharaan Gresik ( UHAR Gresik ). The maintenance activity is divided into 2 categories : <br /> <p align=\"justify\">a. Planned maintenance, which includes : preventive, predictive, overhaul, and modification. <br /> <p align=\"justify\">b. Unplanned maintenance, which includes : corrective, emergency, and breakdown maintenance <br /> <p align=\"justify\">The main problem in maintenance at UP Gresik Power Plan for the last 3 years has been inability to meet the performance indicators, such as the number of finished work order (WO) per month, delay time for finishing WO, and productivity finishing WO per maintenance crew. This problem is indicated by the high number of WO backlog and the low number of productivity. This will in turn cause the increased number of troubles per unit from time to time. <br /> <p align=\"justify\">One major cause for WO backlog is the lack of planning and scheduling for finishing WO backlog which issued by UHAR Gresik. Apart from that, other causes are the lack of control and inflexible of job distribution among maintenance crews. <br /> <p align=\"justify\">To solve the problem and to increase the performance of UHAR Gresik, following measures are proposed : introduction of a new method for planning and scheduling for finishing WO backlog, controlling and monitoring of WO, human resource allocation according to the scope of work and loading for finishing WO, and also a flexible job distribution for crews. <br /> <p align=\"justify\">The implementation of the proposed method and concept would bring some benefits which includes the reduction of WO backlog, minimum number of idle maintenance crew, and increase productivity. Apart from that, the planning and scheduling WO would indirectly increase the capability of UP. Gresik.
