Summary: | Provision of clean water is one way to access clean water which is a necessity for all
communities. The water supply system based on its scale consists of individual
systems, communal systems and public systems. Housing developers provide clean
water for formal housing. Developers in providing clean water consider the
characteristics of the housing they are build so that they can form a pattern of clean
water systems. A safe and sustainable clean water supply system is needed to protect
the environment. Clean water services in Bandung City are generally carried out by
PDAM Bandung City with a service percentage of 73% of the entire Bandung City
area. There are several problems related to the provision of clean water through PDAM
causing developers to have variations in clean water systems. The choice of clean water
system by the developer must pay attention to environmental conditions so that the
supply of clean water can be sustainable. For this reason, it is necessary to pay attention
to the pattern of the clean water system that the developer has built in formal housing.
This study aims to identify patterns of water supply systems based on the characteristics
of formal housing in Bandung. To be able to answer these objectives, 1). identify the
distribution and characteristics of formal housing in Bandung, 2). identify the clean
water supply system by developers in formal housing in Bandung City, 3). analyzing
the pattern of water supply systems based on the characteristics of formal housing in
Bandung City. The research method used in this research is generally a quantitative
method where the analysis method used is descriptive analysis and spatial analysis
which is used to determine the characteristics of housing and clean water supply
systems in formal housing, while the method of association analysis is cross tabulation
analysis (crosstab) and Chi square is used to determine the relationship between
housing characteristics and the clean water system, so that the pattern of the water
supply system can be found. From the analysis, it is known that the individual clean
water supply system is influenced by the characteristics of the middle to lower and
middle class housing classification, the topography of the area is very steep and steep,
the aquifer with medium to high productivity, shallow and deep aquifers and sediment
content and volcanic flow, while the clean water system communal influenced by low
to medium production aquifers, rather steep topography, and no PDAM available,
public system influenced by shallow low-medium production aquifer, luxury housing
classification, sloping topography, available PDAM network, low pass rock content. |
