Summary: | At this time users can get cooking information so easily and so practically only through a
smartphone. Cookpad and Yummy applications are present as applications that help users to
cook. User Experience is one of the supporting facilities for users to get the information they
need. In this study , the authors used a visual analysis approach with User Experience theory.
This study uses a mixed approach. The methods used are qualitative and quantitative by
measuring the Single Ease Question (SEQ) and User Experience Questionnaire (UEQ)
measurement tools. The data testing technique used in this study is the statistical method with
the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) measuring instrument. The purpose of
this study was to examine whether the user interface and features of the Cookpad and Yummy
applications match the target segment of the two cooking applications. From the test results of
the two cooking applications, it was found that different target segments were influenced by
different needs. The Yummy application has a higher score in terms of stimulation and
attractiveness in terms of interface, tips and tricks content, also in videos and photos that are
presented more attractive. Therefore, users feel more motivated and want to cook. While the
Cookpad application has less good value from users. However, users are more aware of the
Cookpad application because the Cookpad application appears the most on Google search
pages.
