EVALUATION OF WASTE MANAGEMENT IMPLEMENTATION WITH PYROLYSIS PROCESSING IN CIMAHI CITY USING COST AND BENEFIT ANALYSIS APPROACH

Summary: | Based on the Cimahi City Waste Management Master Plan, in 2019 the amount of plastik waste generation reached 47.25 of the total waste generated, which was 289.1 tons per day. Of the 47.25 tonnes of waste, only 0.3 tonnes was recycled at the Samici Garbage Bank and the rest was immediately transported to the TPA. At this time, Cimahi City has been able to serve waste management with a service level of 79.5% and only 5% reduced waste. This is a concern where Cimahi City should be able to reduce large amounts of plastik waste because plastik waste is waste that is difficult to decompose but has a fairly high selling value. Over time the need for plastik also continues to increase. Emissions generated from waste management activities will also continue to increase if steps are not taken to reduce waste. So that we need a solution to be able to reduce plastik waste and also provide benefits to society and the government from an economic and environmental perspective. Processing by pyrolysis can reduce large amounts of plastik waste and can also produce products. This study aims to analyze the costs and benefits of waste management that will be developed, namely the development scenario without pyrolysis and also pyrolysis with the study location in Cimahi City. The development scenario with pyrolysis is divided into two large-scale and small-scale scenarios. In addition, an analysis will also be carried out on the total amount of emissions resulting from each waste management development scenario. Based on the analysis, the NPV value for the scenario without pyrolysis was Rp. -402 billion, in a large scale scenario screw pyrolysis is Rp. -457 billion, large-scale rotary pyrolysis scenario of Rp. -422 billion small scale scenario screw pyrolysis is Rp. -381 billion and on a small scale rotary pyrolysis is Rp. -311 billion. For the BCR value in the scenario without pyrolysis is 0.45, the big scale screw pyrolysis scenario is 0.54, the big scale rotary pyrolysis scenario is 0.58, the screw pyrolysis small scale scenario is 0.56 and the small scale rotary pyrolysis scenario is 0.66. |
