Summary: | The increase in population, the improvement of the quality of life and the
country's higher economic conditions will affect every line of business, especially air
transportation. According to BPS data in 2019, it can be noted that from 2014 to 2018,
the traffic of Indonesian domestic flights continued to increase. The increasing demand
must also be balanced with the availability and readiness of Human Resources in airport
service providers.
As an airport service provider company that manages 19 major airports in Indonesia, PT.
XYZ is expected to have adequate Human Resources as the spearhead of the company in
developing an implementation strategy to continue to grow and provide the best service
for the community. PT. XYZ has measured the implementation of the company's
organizational value, which in the past three years has continued to decline and is in the
weak category in implementing work culture values that affect the company's execution
strategy.
This paper will discuss and analyze the effectiveness of strategy implementation and
identify room for improvement in strategy implementation at PT. XYZ. It used to improve
company performance using the approach of a Harvard Business Review article entitled
"The Secret to a Successful Execution Strategy" by Gary L. Neilson et al. Another
approach is used the theoretical of "Organizational Health Index" by McKinsey. The
study was conducted by distributing questionnaires randomly to 80 employees at the head
office of PT. XYZ.
The results show that of the five variables measured, namely Information Flow, DecisionMaking
Rights,
Motivation,
Structure
and
Leadership,
there
is
still
room
for
improvement
that
can be taken to improve the company's execution strategy, especially in the
information flow. Leader at PT. XYZ is considered ready to carry out strategy
implementation.
