Description
Summary:Indonesia is listed among countries named to be the biggest carbon footprints emitters in the world; in fact, in 2017 Indonesia was number twelve CO2 emitter after Mexico by the World Economic Forum. One way of controlling climate change is to reduce greenhouse gases or GHG emissions (CO, CH, N, O) by utilizing carbon offset as a mean to compensate emissions of carbon dioxide or other greenhouse gases elsewhere, and thus requires the measured amount of carbon stored in certain areas. Investing into schemes that reduce atmospheric concentrations of greenhouse gases such as reforestation and renewable or clean energy projects are few concrete examples. Most importantly, conservation and management of forest sustainability as well as increasing forest carbon stocks need to be done in developing country like Indonesia This final business project is mainly focus on carbon offset schemes in Indonesia and identifies the factors that influence individual and companies' willingness to pay for carbon emissions. A questionnaire was designed, and 112 valid samples were gathered in this analysis. Business issue analysis has been conducted using external and internal environment analysis such as PESTEL, and Porter’s five forces for External Analysis, also Business Model Canvas, and Value Chain for Internal Analysis. The outcomes of the analysis were brought together to determine company’s New Business Model Canvas and Diamond Strategy to proposed new business model for sustainability. According to result, Jejak.in should support the policy maker to create a better awareness of both carbon mitigation technology and carbon policy, and clearer expectations of the national carbon market. Jejak.in should diversify the business process and revenue stream starting from concentrating also in managing B2B2C or B2C direct sales using crowd sourcing model and not only focus on B2B subscription model. Explore different kinds of partnerships as many as possible to generate a new stream of revenue - when properly designed, can create projects with abilities to reduce carbon emissions based on a multi-year production stream from carbon credits.
